Welcome to the World Spirit Blog

"In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." [Genesis 1:1-2]

The word for "spirit" for the ancient Hebrews was the same for "breath." What is meant by the words, "And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters" is that the Breath of God caused visible ripples upon the dark mirror surface of the waters of chaos: Form from formlessness. The breath of Spirit that shaped chaos into the archetypal pattern of the was was not exhaled silently, but was articulated by divine will.

Let this World Spirit Blog be the face of your waters. Your suggestions and opinions form this blog from nothingness and chaos into coherant substance and thought.

I am a man of few words. I like to choose my words wisely. When I publish anything at http://SpiritWorld.info I like to form cohesive, logical thought patterns that express the deepest spiritual, mental, and emotional ideas available to the readers. By this token, I don't rattle on endlessly about spirituality or any other life issues. I say my piece and allow my readership to accept and understand my ideas for what they are worth. I can only hope and pray that God guides my thought patterns when I express them to others. I only publish original ideas when I
receive that spiritual inspiration. For this reason, there are not as many updates as one might expect from a Christian oriented website.

Now, I reserve the World Spirit Blog for my discursive, incoherant thought processes from which my logical thought patterns will coalesce. That is why I say that this blog should be like the dark mirror surface of the waters of chaos. The world life breath or "spiritus" of the world should move upon the face of this blog to bring substance from nothingness and form from formlessness. In essence, I would like every born again person to join in and make yourself at home. I'm also using your ideas and opinions to form the "order from chaos" at spiritworld.info.

I really have to think about changing the content at my home page since it's been there for a while. I believe that the idea that we are the new Israelites will never be exhausted, but, as humans, we always need fresh ideas.

I like to apply the style of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen to spiritworld.info. The way Bishop Sheen brought home an idea through deep parable is a lost art; it was always obvious that the man would effectively research how holy scripture applies to events throughout history and the issues of his day. Instead of the discursive anecdotes that are so ubiquitous in most Catholic sermons, Bishop Sheen would drive home an idea with a vengence, so that it would burn like a red hot branding iron in the hearts and minds of his congregation. He had no captive audience, but his audience was captivated.

I recall one sermon when he discussed the history of the bill of rights and the problem with "today's" teenagers. The problem was back then as it is now: Most Americans lack either knowledge or respect for our basic Bill of Rights which represents scriptural ideologies. In fact, parents mostly have lack of respect: Lack of respect for the commandments of God and the Gifts of Jesus Christ. In turn, teenagers lack respect for their parents and other authority figures - even at the cost of receiving the wisdom of experience. The same mistakes are made again and again throughout the generations because this basic lack of respect is handed down through the generations. Unfortunately, this is a cultural ideology. Even the most hardcore sunday churchgoers are missing the point when they believe that they only have to go through the motions like confessing their sins for redemption. Teenagers are only too aware of this hypocrisy; any respect they learn is only superficial. The problem goes even deeper when the current administration claims to be "born again" while practicing a completely different ideology: Their actions speak louder than their words. Observe the bloody wars and rumors of wars we have today. Observe the spread of paranoia about "terrorists," swine flu, AIDS, SARS, West Nile Virus, and "Bird Flu" among the public by mainstream media. Observe the school mandated anti-depressants and anti-psychotics for less fortunate kids who are told that doing drugs is wrong. Teenagers do not care much for "wisdom" offered by their elders because they are too keen on this hypocrisy.

I hope that Bishop Sheen's wisdom has influenced me somehow when I say these things. He was praised for his work back then, but I wonder how much of that praise was hypocrisy - because look at us now.
